- Munish,
Thanks for your feedback. Having a soundtrack of each episode played in the background is something we've often debated about. I got the idea for Talk Trek listening to Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica podcast commentaries. Talk Trek uses the same concept of being more of a commentary that can be used while watching The Original Series at home... or it can be enjoyed in and of itself and let your imagination fill in the blanks or try to figure out what we're watching. This may not be everyone's cup of Romulan Ale. I thik you'll see in our upcoming episodes we've gotten better at setting up the scenes and the plot... and of course, "Lady Trek" can be enjoyed by all! I think we'll even try using the soundtrack in the background in the not so distant future. Thanks for your comments. - Gentlemen…(I’m not sure which one of you fall into this category, but anyway…),
Great Talk Trek episode on Mudd’s women!
What might make this cooler is if we could figure out what you guys are laughing about or making comments on…keep in mind that the listener does not have a clue of the specific instance you are viewing no matter how much he knows the episode. You may have to take a few seconds and tell the listener what you just observed before making a comment.
Otherwise, I wonder if you could let the listener HEAR the episode as you are watching it at perhaps a little lower volume than your voices. I realize there may be some legal implications with that idea, but, as my good buddy Erik always says – how much is Paramount really concerned with Talk Trek today? Note, something like this would also relieve the listener from the loooonnnnng and frequent pauses!
In general, it’s a really great idea and there are definitely some very humorous interludes…keep it up!!!
Thanks,
Munish
